Bud's Last Pictures!

I actually took pictures the first day I saw his eye, and completly forgot about them. I was looking through the computer to make some space, when I ran into them! I am so glade I found these but they are still not the best example of what his eye really turned into. RIP Bud we miss you

Jan 15th 2011 update

RIP Bud!
Bud got an eye infection towards the first of dec. At first I thought it was one of his normal, Mycoplasma pulmonis problems, and didnt get to good of a look at it that night I gave him food. The next day I got out my rats and once I picked up bud it was hard not to notice the white thickness in his eye, that later turned yellow. At first I thought maybe he just poked his eye and wont get an infection, I didnt have money at the time or else I would have taken him to the vet, Its kinda ridiculous how much they charge for a rat check up, Plus the surgery if thats what he needed. I decided to give him the only source I had and that was eye drops that I had read wont hurt him. If I could go back I would let it heal by itself, cause I have no idea if I helped contribute to the infection. Later on his eye was sticking about an inch and a half, almost completly red with the tip being yellow. I knew that he was probably in pain, or discomfort. I couldnt sit back and hope he lived, I had to do something about it. So I called up my dad, asked if he could get rid of it for me, and do it quick, I took pictures of the car ride over their, then video, wishing I would have let him run free for a day, but at the time I think I was so caught up with stress I wasnt thinking straight and just knew I wanted him to be at peace. So I dropped it off, and never asked questions and told him to never tell me. when I finally got my new phone I asked my freind to send me pictures of the last day and the videos, but her mytouch had problems with the sd card all the time, and deleted all of it. Words can not discribe how pist I was about it, but kept my cool. I miss and love you bud, im sorry I could not give you the best in your life, I tried to give you away to rat breeders who never made contact and I wasnt going to leave you fighting each day for your life. I have learned a lesson about owning an animal when you have no money, you should not do it because you have to be able to pay for things when it goes wrong, no matter how much the price.

New update!
